Happy summer
Got a tube of trombtine in a 75 degree house. It comes out liquid. Does the heat liquify it or is it separating. Remedy put in frig???? Then use??
Upper outer is noisy when inner is in and moved. Lower is silent(I work the lube with one tube at a time). Assuming I need to polish the inner. No dents. How do u all shine up the inners.

Trombotine does separate from heat, there’s a discussion about that here. Should be fine at 75°f, though.
I used to use a non-abrasive polish like wrights and cheesecloth and polish my outer slides. Just swab until they heat up and then clean and clean and clean. I haven’t polished my inner slide tubes ever.
I’d start with just cleaning your slide thoroughly and see if there’s any noticeable hangups when all clean and dry. Just a dab of trombotine and distilled water goes a long way
