Trusted Edwards tech in Germany?

Post by ATXBassBone »

My Edwards bass is not really in great shape and needs some cleaning and some realignment. Does anyone have a tech in Germany that has fimiliarity with Edwards trombones?

Music Bertram carries Edwards. I remember shipping them some orders.
I would assume they have techs that would be very comfortable working on them. They aren’t super exotic.

Germany has so many great trombone techs, I don't see why you would need one that specializes in Edwards.

I had one valve issue on one my Edwards that I had worked on by the Edwards factory and multiple techs in the US, but the first German tech I brought it too made a way better/permanent fix than any previous tech could do.

What part of Germany are you in?

Depending on where in Germany you are….if you’re close to the dutch border, Adams in Limburg NLD is an Edwards specialist.

If you're playing an axial flow horn, the one thing to look for in a tech is finding someone who has experience with axials. I know that both Shires and Edwards have privately suggested certain techs for dealing with their valves. Edwards would, of course, be a good choice for any valve work on their own horn, but shipping internationally is really tough these days, as well as expensive.

PS - I bet Adams would be great.
