Benge 175F 0.500 silde
I'm looking for a 0.500 Silde to match with Benge175F. Can anyone recommend one?

I don't have a 500 slide, but can I ask why you want to do that? I have a 175, and my quartet mates think it's the most "tenorish" thing they've ever heard (a bunch of 547 players, they). It's already the most 500 bore 525 I've ever played. Just curious.

A 3b slide might fit without changing the tenon. Thats a little bigger than .500.
The other options are a Benge 170 or a King 2b plus slide, which are both 500 bore. But the tenon would almost certainly have to be changed. Good luck finding either of those slides alone, though.
The best option would probably be a King 606 slide. Those are .500 and you can find a donor horn for cheap. Again, you’ll probably have to change the tenon for it to fit a 175.

I want to try a different, 0.500 bore playing experience by replacing the slidehyperbolica wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 6:44 am I don't have a 500 slide, but can I ask why you want to do that? I THINK you could also try a King 606/1305 Tempo slide with it. AFAIK, the tenon is the same for the 606/1305/2b+/3b.
