Wide slide crook for 88H !

Post by Tbarh »

Is there a maker out there that can make an aftermarket wide slide crook that's not oversized (like Bach 42) .. preferably not nickel silver.. ? ? Should fit a Conn 88 H 😉

Thanks !

I have a Shires .547 nickel wide crook on my Minick 88H. Not sure if that comes in brass or not as a standard item, but they could probably make you one on special order.

Is this bigger bore than standard 88H crook ?

No. The reason they came up with this is because Bach uses a .600 crook for both the 42 and the 50. So that means it’s a tad oversized for the 42 and a tad under size for the 50 (they also have a .605 for 50). So the .588 will be the equivalent of a Shires TW crook. They are very responsive to emails and they’ll be glad to help you out!
