Introducing the S-Mute Stand Wrench!
I've been bouncing this idea around for a while. It's born out of my disdain for loose music stands, really there is nothing more obnoxious than finding a wobbly stand when sitting down to rehearse! There are products out there made for tightening the hardware on Manhasset stands, but they are akin to full sized wrenches, and I don't like having a largeish heavy object in or near my case.
My stand wrench weighs 13 grams and fits unobtrusively in the pouch on your case or in your bag. I take one wherever I go and it's come in handy twice this week alone! It will tighten both the music holder nut and the base bolt on Manhasset stands. The music holder side may tighten other brands as well (yet to test), or I may design more of these for other stands as I come across them or get requests.
