I`m interested in the Michael Davis + Mouthpiece. How does it compare to a Bach 7C?
Anyone play one ? What`s your opinion?
Pros/Cons?

Re: Michael Davis + Laskey
Hey Dukes!
I have both the Laskey MD and MD+. Big improvement over the Shires version, better and more even sound and more comfy rim.
I would say the MD is closer to a classic Bach 7C, it (the MD) plays more like a big 11C and with the same 25.2 rim as the MD+ it means it has a little more cup volume than most 11C type pieces.
The MD+ is probably closer in sound and blow to a 6.5A I’d say? Maybe similar (but a bit bigger feeling) to the Yamaha Nils piece. Nice depth to the sound and blows very evenly with the bigger throat. The heavier blank adds to stability and projection. Pretty comfy rim in my opinion. Worth a shot for sure!
