Hey all,
I’m sure there’s a forum topic about this but I can’t find it if it exists. For those that have played GB alessi pieces, has anyone played current gb piece set up that feels similar? I’ve played the NY series and it plays very different.
Let me know your thoughts!

They're definitely as close as you can get within GB land.

The NY series are what used to be Greg’s Alessi models, so it would stand to reason those are the closest

They were changed from the Alessi line so they are not the same. But they are still as close as it gets.

Re: Closest GB to Alessi series
Last year, I roughly measured the Greg Black Alessi 5 Regular and the Greg Black Alessi 5.5 Medium with some steel balls, and got these following findings, fyi.
The backbore of Greg Black Alessi models is almost the sames as the W series (#1* backbore), tighter than the New York series (#1 backbore), and even tighter than the 5G/4G series (#3 backbore).
The cup of Greg Black Alessi 5 Regular is almost the same as New York 5.
