Besson Super 35

Post by Drombone »

Hi,

Saw this trombone up for auction. I've not heard of this model, and wondered if anyone knows anything about it?

The case looks like it's from the 50's, so it a stablemate of the 10-10's?

This is a Besson 35 model. There was no such animal as a Super 35.

It is a student model, the same as a Besson Westminster, 2-20 or a Boosey and Hawkes Regent, 78, Oxford or Edgeware.

Bore is 0.487in and bell 7 to 7.5in.

It is nowhere near a 10-10.

Ideal for marching band as it is built like a tank!!!

Cheers

Thanks, Stewart. It's not a model you've ever mentioned before, and I thought you'd take the bait!. Didn't buy it, got an R10 to replace my 3B.

It does say 'super' on the bell, though.
