New Posts Seems Broken

Post by harrisonreed »

It looks like posts that I've read and haven't read aren't updating anymore. Anyone else having this problem? For example the post about the trumpeter who just won the Bernstein award "Not Trombone" had posts after mine, but the topic is still shown as "read".

The topic about Bousfield playing a concerto is makes as unread even though I've read Posaunus' post 7 times now.

This post also doesn't show up in "New Posts" either

Just me?

I marked everything as read and logged in and out, then it worked after hitting new posts three times.

Weird! Guess it's good now!

I wonder if you were having connectivity problems, and your browser kept giving you a (stale) cached version of the new list.

Same situation with me and it has been like that several months. It was better when this worked.

Logging in/out definitely helpsfor whatever reason. I haven't been rebooting the instance, but the downtime is extremely minimal, so I'm tempted to just schedule a reboot once a week or something to get these types of things to go away.

Anyone else having similar issues and for how long?

Apologies for the radio silence... I've been working on something to assess the feasibility of something that scales a little better than what the system is currently running on. Looks promising... going to talk to Neobri about it soon... actually wrapping up the tail end of a POC as I type...

No, not here. The New Posts function has been working well, 99+% of the time for me.
