The Drowsy Chaperone-Need Info
I am going to be playing a run of The Drowsy Chaperone this February-March. I don't know what version. MD says it's 3 trumpets and 1 trombone (that sounds odd to me). Does anyone have any information? Thanks.

Why does that sound odd? It's been awhile but I can tell you that it runs about 1 hour and 50 minutes without intermission unless it's changed. I don't remember anything being wildly difficult. When I did Peter Pan it was originally 3 trumpets and 1 trombone. A bass trombone chair was added for the Broadway run.

Thanks. I guess that I've played 3 trumpet, 2 bone shows, and 2 trumpet 1 bone shows, but I've never played a 3 + 1 before, with no horn.WGWTR180 wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 7:39 am Why does that sound odd? Yeh I'd always vote for more trombones(Ha) but some of these orchestrators have their own vision. I'm sure you'll have fun with it.fsgazda wrote: Sun Nov 30, 2025 2:42 pmThanks.
