IIRC, John Sandhagen did the mod for Ido Meshulam. I bought the original Olds levers off of Ido.

Brad close did the work. They are also converted to saddle springs rather than clock springs, it was very involved.

Yeah, I did that one. Had to adapt new stop arms to fit and drilled and tapped holes in the casing to attach new stop plates. Not an easy job.

I'm sure you could change the levers and still keep the clockspring cylinders if you wanted to keep those original. Ido wanted it more modern and reliable.

Any of Brad's work that I've seen has been pretty darn clean.

I highly recommend this mod if you plan on gigging on your P-24G, It's been a game changer for me.

The original setup is pretty awful and I couldn't really play the horn for more than 5-10 minutes max which is a shame because it's a fantastic and rather unique instrument, there's nothing even close to it on the market these days.

Brad's work is extremely clean and I'm sure that if you go with him the difference in cosmetics will be minimal if at all noticeable. The cosmetic issues that you see on my horn were already there before I brought it in to the shop (got the horn from a storage unit where it sat for a few decades, it was a tarnished moldy mess)

From the picture, it appears that the push-rod from the thumb-trigger is either missing or (in this view) hidden behind the inlet tubing to the upstream valve. If the latter, this would imply "reversed rotation" of this valve compared with the more common rotation direction (as apparently used on the downstream valve).

The original factory setup has the F-valve rotating clockwise (viewed from the bearing plate side) to engage the attachment. In fact, both valves rotate in the same direction.

I believe original was counter-clockwise and I changed it to clockwise.

Stock is counter clockwise, Brad reversed both valves so they now rotate clockwise which for this horn is the way to go.
