Posting for Veterans' Day remembrances.
My military experience was positive overall, and this trip to perform with the NJO in Finland was one of the top highlights. This photo is from our first performance in town; later that trip we performed in the evening on a different stage, right before the Joe Lovano Quartet with McCoy Tyner.
I remember McCoy looking all frail backstage and being escorted around by a stunningly pretty blond Finnish girl, but one he got on stage all that disappeared.
