The best way is to go to google and type in Site:trombonechat.com followed by a space and then whatever you want to search for.

I want to be able to search for a particular topic in the forums but cannot find a search field anywhere on any page / any screen! On the "F A Q" page, it says: "How can I search a forum or forums?

I was curious about this as well, but also assumed I needed to wait until approved.

I agree about adding "trombone chat" to a google search- it does seem to work quite well (not to mention that google was how I found this forum to begin with).

This is unfortunately the best answer. phpbb has a lot going for it but turns out search is actually a pretty complex problem and Google has billions upon billions of dollars to throw at putting stuff you want to see in front of your eyeballs

Is there a for sale section that will show up after I get my first few posts approved? I’m in the market for a brass trombone. All I have right now is plastic as I’m only 5 days back into playing.

You should be able to see the Classified Ads section now. You can't easily connect to people placing ads until you have three apprved posts.
