Dear all,
in 2020 I started developing the MST STUDIO line of mouthpieces, built masterfully by James New (former Kanstul).
Our mouthpieces have some real fans, and I am totally convinced that their design is a great fit for quite a few players.
However I never really had sufficient time to invest in developing further models (to reach/fit more players) and/or drive marketing of the mouthpieces. Now with international business (the majority of our mouthpieces have sold e.g. to Australia, Japan, Sweden, Norway, Greece, the US etc.) becoming more and more challenging, I consider closing the brand and concentrating on what really pays the bills.
Until now this has been an interesting journey that led not only to having some great mouthpieces for customers and myself, but also to meeting quite a few new people, learning about mouthpiece and product design in general, but also learning about building and operating this kind of business.
So as it is quite uncertain how this will continue, feel free to have a look at https://www.mst-studio-mouthpieces.com/shop/ and contact me if you have any questions. At the moment, all but one model are still available.
The K 11 N and K NY N are really nice 11c size options with an extremely comfortable rim profile
The M N is just a bit larger (modeled after the original Andy Martin signature piece) with the MSE N being almost the same, just with a little bit lighter outer shape (my current choice for small bore)
The 5.5 GS N is a great option for medium bore
The 5.5 GL N our smallest option for large bore
The 5 GD N is my favorite for large bore
The 4 AL N is a good allround choice for euphonium
The R2 N is a really efficient bass trombone mouthpiece, roughly 1 1/4 size, the R2D N is just a bit deeper
The R N is currently not available anymore
Contact me for any questions!

Can vouch for the MSE N being a nice option for small bore. A little larger than most 11c with a nice fat sound and pretty even across the horn. Worth a look if you like pieces around the 7C-11C size. And great craftsmanship by James New!
