Help An Old Guy Out
Can't remember what brand of horn I was issued back in '78.
Can anyone identify this horn I'm carrying? I want to say it was a King but can't remember after all these years.

AtomicClock, do you remember if it was small shank or large shank mouthpiece?
I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are still missing!

It's too big to be a 3B/F, and the forward loop on the F attachment on 3B/F didn't come about until the '80s.

The wrap says King. Curved bell brace says 3B. If the bell brace is straight, it's a 607 Tempo.

Small shank, no index finger loop by the mouthpiece... Thinking 605F Cleveland model. Check out the attached catalog from 1973.

It had a finger loop, but after I cut my hand on it and bled during a 5 mile parade, the Instrument Repair Sgt cut it off.Kingfan wrote: Wed Feb 19, 2025 7:01 pm Small shank, no index finger loop by the mouthpiece... Thinking 605F Cleveland model. Check out the attached catalog from 1973.

The ring - not my hand.

I get about 218 pixels for the bell diameter, and guesstimate about 26 pixels for the mouthpiece inner diameter. If the mouthpiece is 1.0 inches (like a Doug Elliot 100), then that comes to an 8.4 inch bell. Ignoring image foreshortening.
