Horn of the day

Post by BrassSection »

Some days I only want to play my euph, some days only trumpet, very rare days French horn. Today I was looking for excuses to play my trombone. Euph stayed in the case, used trumpet minimally. Never been accused of being normal, just wondering what might draw others to “The horn of the day”?

Sometimes just doing a little lubrication maintenance on one of my instruments gets me in the mood to get practice in on it (unless I'm doing ~2 hours of bass trombone work that evening and need to preserve the chops). Other days are because I need to focus on something.

I rarely pull out the euphonium, but will frequently take out the little and big tubas, and any of my trombones. I also have a really old G military bugle sitting on a stand that I infrequently noodle on, just because.
