What type of horn is this?

Post by Db34 »

Anyone know what type of horn this is? Someone sent me photos and videos and said they can't see any logo or branding or anything

Cheap Chinese horn, looks like. Don't waste your time.

Looks like a Holton TR-602 to me.

That's certainly consistent with the brace design (given the level of detail that can been discerned). The absence of any identification is odd, though.

That appears to be a trombone.

Ummm ... we haven't really seen a slide have we? Just an arbitrary length of tubing that appears not to be in the bell section.

Does look like a student holton from the braces (and maybe the body lock?)

I'd think a Holton would have engraving on it. If this horn is blank, it's either a cheap knockoff, or just a cheap instrument.
