The right price Conn 70H Fuchs and Williams Model 10

Post by meine »

I lent my Thein bass trombone to a friend of mine for a project, so I‘m spending more time on the Conn Fuchs and the Williams 10. Out of curiosity I added the costs of these two bass trombones and I questioned myself if I ever would decide to sell one or both horns what would be the right price for them? What would be the right price for you if you would sell or buy them?

Can of worms wrapped in a thirst trap.

As I don't own them, I'd be willing to sell them for a small administrative charge (to cover dial-up internet, sawdust for the office floor, &c.).

Don't go down the "make me an offer" route. The buyer quite reasonably assumes they're getting screwed, and everyone gets their time wasted.

Wasn't there a Fuchs that changed hands not too long ago?

I believe that was my Fuchs that I sold to Mike Szabo in Australia. Don’t think any have since changed ownership.

I got it from a friend in Vienna. Mike still has his one. I let M&W install the Hagmanns. Turned out to be a Ferrari. Couldn‘t get better.

However, one needs a past time.

@Wilco: Sure😄and it costs a lot😅

I‘m sure I‘ll never get the money I invested out of them. So I guess a trade would be the best way if someone wants the Williams or the Fuchs. And I guess a lot of people know which brand I like the most😁
