Bach 50B2 Cases

Post by atopper333 »

Hello all…

I just picked up a Bach 50B2 and am looking for some case options…

I picked the horn up for a great price…so I can’t complain that the Protec case it came with has seen better days. I’m looking for some potential case options for hard cases with latches…never been much of a fan of zippered cases.

Here is a pic of what I got… pretty standard except the split triggers and tuning slide. I appreciate any help!

Following with interest as I like the way you think… though my current plan is to convert to a screw flare and go with a flat case.

Cases I’d be looking at;
Eastman mentioned above

I understand this can be found cheaper elsewhere, but the cheap ones have been sold out every time I’ve looked.

Edwards (if any distributor still has one)

I’m definitely interested in these cases…kinda really liked the Edwards case, but you are definitely right…it is hard to find.

Keep looking for the Eastman case. They pop up slightly used.

I just bought a gray pebble finish Eastman bass case. The hold up to the exterior wear of daily use better.
Wrap the metal clips on the backpack straps with sports tape after you get the case. It's much more quiet and saves scarring.

If you are still willing to build your own, along the lines of what I did with a Pelican rifle box (discussed elsewhere on the site for any lurkers following along), the Odyssey 37-key Keyboard Flight Case looks like a promising start once you have your bell cut.

DIMENSIONS: The exterior dimensions are 37" wide x 18" deep (front to back) x 8" deep / tall when closed. The maximum space on the interior is 36" wide x 15-1/4" front to back x 5-1/2" deep.
