Re: Bach 42af
Someone has a Getzen 3047AF up for sale. I’d go that route personally. Very consistent/playable and solid sound. Sometimes Bachs can have quirks so be sure to play test it first.Weees wrote: Fri Sep 29, 2023 9:04 pm Hello friends, I am planning to get the bach 42af. Is there anything I need to know about how it sounds/ plays? And is there a better trombone for similar or cheeper pricing?

That horn is high on my list of never buy unless I can go over it with a fine toothed comb. And for the price? There are a lot of better options.

I have a Bach 42AFG and love it, but I did decide to pair it with a Bach 50 lightweight slide (at added expense of course) to make it how I really wanted it to play. You have to play test any horn before deciding to either buy it, or keep it of you have a deal worked out with an online vendor.
