Is this a 3b?

Post by none4u »

Saw this on Craigslist for a very good price, is this actually a 3b? And how can you tell?

It looks like one from what I can see, but better pictures are definitely needed. Also get the serial number from the seller and the marking on the top of the bell.

It is a 2B, 3B, or older Tempo. Any of those are worth more than what the seller is asking. If I lived closer, I would buy it whatever it was.

Yep, I'd buy it before someone else does.

The bell brace is correct. Could be a Tempo but the bell looks like 3B size in comparison to the rest of the horn. If it’s a good price go for it.
I’m not a collector, I just have too many trombones….

Yeah, I contacted the seller pretty much immediately. Hopefully they get back to me.

I'm drooling. Make sure you let us all know if you got it and if so what it actually is!

The ad copy says "silver bell added recently", whatever that means. But at $60, my only question to the seller would be, "When can I pick it up?"

That's the exact e-mail I sent. Will update with more pics and details if I manage to get it.

If this isn't a scam Craigslist ad, I'm going to be very surprised. (And jealous)
