Is this a 3b?
Saw this on Craigslist for a very good price, is this actually a 3b? And how can you tell?

It looks like one from what I can see, but better pictures are definitely needed. Also get the serial number from the seller and the marking on the top of the bell.

It is a 2B, 3B, or older Tempo. Any of those are worth more than what the seller is asking. If I lived closer, I would buy it whatever it was.
I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are still missing!

Yep, I'd buy it before someone else does.Kingfan wrote: Tue Aug 29, 2023 11:52 am It is a 2B, 3B, or older Tempo. Any of those are worth more than what the seller is asking. If I lived closer, I would buy it whatever it was.

Re: Is this a 3b?
The bell brace is correct. Could be a Tempo but the bell looks like 3B size in comparison to the rest of the horn. If it’s a good price go for it.
I’m not a collector, I just have too many trombones….

Yeah, I contacted the seller pretty much immediately. Hopefully they get back to me.

The ad copy says "silver bell added recently", whatever that means. But at $60, my only question to the seller would be, "When can I pick it up?"Briande wrote: Tue Aug 29, 2023 5:58 pm The bell brace is correct. If this isn't a scam Craigslist ad, I'm going to be very surprised. (And jealous)
