Selling Used Trombone

Post by bellagarey24 »

I have a used bach stradivarius 42BO that I would like to sell whenever my new trombone comes in. How would I go about selling that? Through a music store or what else?

What ever you do, get your slide working at its best. The impression playing wise starts with moving the slide.
Cosmetic issues seem to melt away if the slide is super smooth. If the buyer is using a student horn or any horn that is not taken care of, they will like that horn even before they blow.

Before selling any trombone, I would get it serviced and cleaned by a reputable tech, and let the prospective owners know that. This goes for just about anything out there on the used market. It also gives you leverage if someone tries to knock your price down too hard during negotiations.

I've been thinking about a 'new' horn, either a Bach 42BO or a Conn 88HO.
What do you think you want for yours?
