What model is my B&S Bass Trombone
Hi all. New here.
Trying to work out what model my bass trombone is...
I tried messaging B&S themselves and they suggested possibly a 3060...but weren't sure, even with the serial number.
I thought maybe a 3061 but the trigger set up is completely different.
Any help would be appreciated.

Doesn't look like any B&S I've ever seen, but it probably is just an older model. Interesting wrap!

It was bought it in the early '90's, for quite a bit at the time. Now I'm a tad worried my Ma got ripped off getting it for me.
Having said that, it's a beautiful trom to play and has, and is, serving me well, just at a loss to as to what it is now.
I can't even find any info about a 3060...

I cannot say an exact model, but looks just as the older B and S basses that show up from time to time on Ebay in Germany.
From my memory they changed their designs drastically in the last 15-25 years.
The older models are not very visible in Western Germany, but may be more popular/widely spread in the hast for obvious historical reasons.

It plays beautifully actually. It has a beautiful tenor sound with a good mouthpiece and cracks the low notes like a G Trombone...I love it.

THIS would be the most important part. Hands down. It's a quality instrument and you love how it sounds. Doesn't matter what other people think about it.Remireed wrote: Tue Mar 29, 2022 7:03 amYes, Bb/F/Eb.

Re: What model is my B&S Bass Trombone
As mentioned above, this is an older instrument from B&S. They had a whole "family" of these horns, from alto to bass. They're more in the traditional German style of instrument (smaller dual bore, for example) compared to their more recent offerings. I so wanted to buy some of these horns many years ago, but allas did not.
Enjoy the horn!!
Enjoy the horn!!
