Olds Recording precise date

Gentlemen(?), Does anyone have an idea of how likely I am to find the date (m/d/Y) of manufacture on an Olds Recording that was purchased in '64 as a student (me) horn. It's serial number: 39XXX, number shows it made in 1949. Now, that isn't the only thing created in '49, as I was too!
It won't change much of the value on this horn to anyone, but except for a monumental coincidence in our journey together.
