O'Malley trombones ?

Post by Posaunus »

Just encountered this on eBay.

I've never heard of O'Malley. I presume it's a "house brand" (stencil) made in China? :idk:

Looks like the stock 42BO copy (almost always a nickel slide as well). Bell is cut way too far up the flare IMO.

It's certainly not worth the listed price.
I may have heard of O' Malley before, and I remember it being a Chinese stencil brand, maybe with quality control? Regardless, there are far better deals to be had, both used and new.

Its a music shop in Georgia run by a Danny O'Malley. Yes just a stencil horn. Surprising how few horns you have to order for them to put your name on them.... Doug

One of the first things I do when I see a new brand surface is to track down a physical address and plug it into Google Maps to see what sort of establishment they have. The results can be interesting.

My local instrument repair guy bought a few Hunter horns and had his name engraved as the brand name. Portman Music, headquartered in Savannah, sells Chinese horns branded Benjamin.
