What to do/see in Cleveland?

Post by ttf_anonymous »

Hi!

I will be going to Cleveland on May 22-23 for the first time. I have a few free hours each fay, what should I visit? I checked and the orchestra doesn't play on these.

Thanks!

Depends on what you like to do, and what part of town you are staying in.  You could start with a trolley tour of the city https://lollytrolley.com/  Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Great Lakes Science Center and the WWII submarine Cod are all near each other on the lakefront.  West Side Marketplace - www.westsidemarket.org - is worth seeing.  Great zoo.  Cleveland Botanical Gardens.  The Soldier's and Sailor's Monument War on Public Square.

The Cleveland Museum of Art is one of the best in the nation, and has free admission.

If you have any historical bent at all, submarines are very cool to go through.

I recently saw John Fedchock at Nighttown, but their music calendar shows nothing those two days.  The Bop Stop has a music discussion on Monday and a trio on Tuesday.
