Obscure Genres or Bands with Bass Trombone

Post by ttf_Bubblelord » Wed Oct 25, 2017 6:13 pm

I've been looking to find some more music to listen to and was hoping to find something with bass trombone outside of typical genres. I've seen a few fusion and modern bands that feature saxophones such as Moon Hooch and Ex Eye and was wondering if anything like that exists with a bass trombone. Also, names of any modern solo compositions that stand out as being different or eclectic would be appreciated. Thanks

Look up "Cimbassonista" on youtube.

Mattis is TTF user "quesonegro".  He does some cool stuff on bass trombone and cimbasso.

You asked for any modern solo composition for bass trombone that is different. Well here's one that is different because it is just about impossible to play Image Image

Enjoy but don't give up!
