Raul de Souza   "Sweet Lucy"

Introduced to me by  my (non trombone playing) sister in 1977 still haven't heard anything better in the genre, this rhythm section is steaming!!!!!

Written and produced by George Duke

THanks for posting that. It was on one of my favorite albums. I lost it in hurricane Andrew. I wish I could find it on CD.

My favourite Raul Album is "Don't ask my neighbours" A bit less commercial than Sweet Lucy and twice as funky Image

Here's Daisy Mae from that album ............ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z8qBrpfhSQ

I was in Bali, and only had my I-pad when I first saw this thread. The next day I was sitting in a restaurant and heard an amazing vocal recording of Sweet Lucy. The Ipad was completely inadequate to try and find out who it was. I haven't found it yet, but I'm going to keep looking. Just ordered the CD.
