I was listening to WRTI (Temple University, Philadelphia PA public radio) this afternoon on my way into work and heard a recording of Alain Trudel, accompanied by Philadelphia Orchestra Music Director Yannick Nezet-Seguin performing a transcription of what the announcer said was orginally for viola. Here's the link for IMSLP: http://imslp.org/wiki/File:PMLP12856-Bruch_Romanze_Op85_Score.pdf. I sat and listened to the whole piece and found it to be quite beautiful, and Trudel's trills exasperatingly facile.  Has anyone here ever performed this work or know on what recording it might be? Thanks!

I really like that piece as well. It is on an album called "Conversations". A lot of other great pieces there as well, including the Gliere op. 35 and a stunning FAE sonata.

I'm not aware of any other trombone recordings of that piece.
