Is this trombone similar to a 2B just with a nickel bell?

I have a 1971 King catalog. It says the Tempo was a step-up horn between the 606 student horn and the 2B pro horn. Same bell diameter and same bore as the 2B, but brass outer slide instead of nickel silver and inner slide is nickel silver instead of chrome plated. Some call it the poor man's 2B.
