FS: Bernd Sandner Vintage 88H Bell

Post by ttf_bubbachet »

All,

Selling my 2015 Bernd Sandner bell. It's raw rose brass with a nickel kranz. Cross-brazed construction, much like the vintage (think 1910-1920) 8Hs. It's really gorgeous.

Includes Greenhoe flanges and 88H tuning slide receiver.

$650 shipped lower 48. Will ship internationally at buyer's expense. Buyer pays PayPal fees.

It's a really unique bell with a wonderful, warm sound and is very flexible but holds up well at volume.

Is it vintage or was it made in 2015? I couldn’t see the engraving in the photos, so the post is kinda misleading.

Made in 2015 and is a copy of 1910-1920’s 8H bell.  Image

Are you selling a complete 88H compatible f-attachment bell section, i.e. everything but the slide?

I've only seen a few 8Hs from that era; they were both 8 inch yellow bells.  Yours is obviously not yellow, but is it an 8 inch bell?  Thanks!

I would have bought it by now if that were the case!

Nice price.  Too bad it's not rigged to fit a Shires.

No intent to mislead, sorry that wasn't clear to you.

It's an 8.5" bell.

This bell is now out on a trial period.

The bell is cross-brazed, just like the 1920s Conn bells and the current BrassArk large bore trombone.
