WTB Donor Valve to replace Bach K Valve.

Post by ttf_Conn88hagmann »

Hi all.

I've bought a stunning 36b with heavy gold bell, light weight slide. It plays so beautifully, BUT, the K valve is going to be impossible to live with as it digs into the neck.

I'm after a donor valve, or valve section to replace the K valve with.

Any valve sections or Valves  out there?

Many thanks.

I've got a Hagmann valve that may also dig into your neck...

I have a Besson valve which is for a M/L trombone. It is new, unused, never fitted and comes complete with all the linkage mechanism and saddle and spring.

Let me know if you are interested.

Cheers

I have a king 3B plus valve section with valve and trigger that I am willing to let go for around $200. It is in very great shape  and it has two tuning slides for the slow e's  if interested please email ][email protected]

I might be interested in your K valve when you replace it.

I probably should point out that the K valve may be the reason you like the horn so much.

The K valve was Bach's answer to the Thayer.  It has very little bending to the air stream.  It's too bad that the reason you don't like it is the same reason most of us didn't like it.

You may find that when you put a regular rotor on it, it won't be quite as nice.  But I like my Bach 36 with a standard wrap and a rotor.
