I Played the Best Audition of My Life Yesterday-NOT CLICKBAIT

Post by GBone »

Hey everyone, as the title of this post suggests: I played the best audition of my life yesterday. From the first notes I felt my sound in the hall, I felt the committee gasp from the power of my musical presence. Excerpt after excerpt I was audiating the voice in my head, every note was a pearl, perfectly in time and in tune. I left the stage feeling quite good, obviously. I shot a glance at the candidate waiting backstage to go on after me—he had wet himself. You can imagine my surprise when, after this masterful performance I did not advance to the second round. I just about fainted. What have musical standards come to? Are they purposefully looking for bad players??

I say all this to ask: Who won the Austin Symphony audition yesterday? Asking for a friend.

Reason: Nothing positive for the Trombone community!

Doesn't matter what YOU think of your audition, it matters what the listening panel thinks!!

Same as me. I don't know the system in USA but it seems to be a lot of amateurs pretending to be nearly like professors? And the amazing thing is they believe it themselves?

On second thought…that gasp may have been a fart. Hard to tell from that far away

Someone whose worst day, even after they have suffered from incontinence right in front of you, is better than your best day ever.

Truly hilarious to hear this coming from someone as angry at the world as you are Mr. Reed. I’ve spoken with Ian Bousfield and he said he’s willing to open up an adult division of his competition just for you! All you have to do is post of a video of yourself playing the David (with all the right rhythms) in this thread and you will be anointed the winner. Happy practicing!

Come on! You know you asked for it lol. If you can't take the heat after claiming your competition peed themselves because you were so unbelievable, get out of the pan, man.

If I actually hurt your feelings I'm sorry, but the OP was absolutely ridiculous. You were actually being serious?!?

I suspect the formatting of the title's messed up. Pretty sure it's supposed to be:

I'm going to lock this thread as it presents NOTHING useful to the Trombone world!
