New piece for trombone choir published

Post by Kbiggs » Sun Mar 28, 2021 10:53 am

Friends,

My arrangement of the last two movements of Heinrich Schütz’s Musikalische Exequien has been published by Cherry Classics. It’s a trombone octet, arranged for AATTTTBB. Here is the link with a description and SoundCloud reproduction: https://cherryclassics.com/collections/ ... e-ensemble

Stay tuned to this channel, as I have other arrangements that I hope to publish through Cherry Classics in the near future.
I have known a great many troubles, but most of them have never happened.

I forgot to mention: this arrangement is dedicated to Anthony “Tony” Collins, trombonist and friend, who passed away after a long bout with recurrent cancer. Proceeds from the sale of this piece will go to his widow.

I love the Schutz stuff. Reminds me of music school. Glorious.
