I'm thinking of putting this on Ebay, but I'd like to offer it up here first. This is a beautiful King 2B that was just buffed and lacquered. The slide was among the best I've ever played. I took the crook off to remove a small ding, and verified that both outer tubes were very straight, then I reassembled it. It's remarkably smooth, especially for a horn of this age, with nickel outers. I

Pluses: Re-lacquered with a thin coat of Nikolas clear-bake--the same lacquer used by several manufacturers. Modern King counterweight with a vintage King logo that I had printed up. Very shiny, with sharp engraving. Plays quite well.

Minuses: A few small spots where lacquer is missing. One small wear-through on stocking chrome. Some very small scuffs and dings. The bell throat shows a rather small amount of scarring from when a loose slide in a French case hit it repeatedly. The bell was annealed and burnished out. On vintage horns, I do as little buffing as I can since I don't want to remove metal and change the playing characteristics.
