Any funny or interesting road stories about this trip? Were period uniforms just for this tour or was it common? You sounded fab.

The "Pinks and Greens" were one of our regular performance uniforms that went with the Glenn Miller repertoire. The Airmen if Note was originally formed as the Air Force's replacement of Glenn Miller's Army-Air Force band, so we did a lot of that music.
Glenn Miller and other big band music was very popular in Japan.
A Japanese film crew followed us everywhere and this film was a TV special in Japan.

A long time ago it was up and then down.. I was surprised to see it up again. Oh well...

This video has never worked on cell phones for me (in Sweden). Log on via a computer and you should be able to see it.
