Cronhkite pouch name?

Post by AndrewMeronek »

It's not a mouthpiece pouch, it's the (roughly) 4x6 pouch the mouthpiece, oil, etc., goes in. What is this called? :idk:

I've always called mine an "accessory pouch". It winds up with slide sprayer, slide lube, mouthpiece(s), pencil, small screwdriver, extra water key cork, etc.

I know it's made of soft stuff, but I wish it had an enclosed compartment to fit in. I worry about it bouncing around in there.

Ah, thanks. I have one I need to replace due to it starting to break down and producing a bunch of black dust.

A bit late, but I saw that Hickey's lists 3 sizes of those accessory pouches. I assume the XL (8.5x11") is too big for the small double bag (fits 2 tenors, or tenor and alto), so which of the other 2 (8.5x4" vs 8x8") would be more appropriate to fit inside it?

I'd like to not have to carry my lube and oils in my mute bag while the mouthpieces (in their pouches) bounce around inside.

The one that came with my RB bag was the 8"x8".

My Cronhkite bag came with both the 8x8 and the 8.5x4.

Mine came with neither of those, more like 8x6, and padded (the 8.5x4 on Hickeys is not padded) :idk:

I like the smallest accessory pouch in my MB case. I had the velcro closure on the the compartment for mouthpieces, etc. pop open once or twice, so I started using a small pouch inside that compartment as an extra safety measure.
