Bach places their waterkeys wrong.

Just a pet peeve here, but every Bach trombone I've ever worked on has the waterkey too far away from the nipple. Super annoying.

At least the Bach water keys have a little flexibility. Many of them come from the factory like that and they can be bent gently with duckbill pliers to align more correctly. A word of advice…..don’t bend them when they are screwed into the saddle. Always remove them first.

The Yammies are the worst for me. If they come from the factory out of alignment, the saddle must be resoldered into the correct position. I have found that Yamaha water keys have little or no flex….they snap VERY EASILY.

it's their medieval craft/Persian rug/"only god is perfect" gesture, having gotten everything else right every time
