Conn 100h Leadpipes

Just bought the "3" leadpipe from a conn 100h for my BAC horn. My horn was too bright and sparked way too fast when I barely touched the gas. Sound has drastically rounded out and plays wonderfully. Has anyone else tried using these leadpipes on their horn?

I play on a 112 H, and find difficult to get a bright sound, even with the Titanium mouthpiece, I considered buying a Sterling Silver lead pipe to brightening things up, But I am not gonna ruin a purposely built personality for the horn. Nice to know I'm not the only one who thought the same about these 100 H series lead pipes.

The 3 pipe, imo, is the better 100H pipe. Especially if you use a larger mpc.

Well, not that it has much to do with 100H leadpipes, but I pulled the 112H pipe and put in a Shires 2L. Made it a much, much better horn in almost all respects.

Yea, I'm thinking of doing the same with a sterling silver lead pipe again, now that you have mentioned it. :o :bang:

I use a Bach 50 pipe in my 71H. Works awesome!

I use the Kanstul Williams pipe, and it’s really nice. The Kanstul Alan Kaplan is great too.

Do you know what are the differences (metal?) between the 3 pipes?

I used N°2 and just discovered that I have a better sound when I play with N°1...
