Polishing my 48h

Post by Jmac »

I want to clean/polish my Conn 48h. I believe it’s nickel plating on brass. But it’s lacquered so I’m not sure the type of metal even matters. What can I use that’s safe to clean it and shine it up a bit?

If it is lacquered, I normally use oil and grease cleanser. But I am quite sure warm (not hot) water and normal body soap can also be safely used.

I use dish soap to clean mine and a good polishing cloth to shine it up. It's lacquered, so I wouldn't use any special metal polish.

I use non moisture furniture polish. That`s what my repair tech uses

Ok thanks for the advice. I used the dish soap and a sponge to clean it and wiped it down with a soft cloth. It looks great.
