What Mouthpiece Do You Use With a Yamaha 354?

Post by walldaja »

Just wondering, for those with a Yamaha 354 around what mouthpiece works best?

Thanks in advance

For me, I found that my "standard mid bore" mouthpiece works well - for me that is a Denis Wick 6BS.

for general playing the Yamaha 48 they come with is good. I like a vintage Bach 6 1/2AM. For jazz the same kind of mouthpiece that you would use on other jazz horns, Bach 11C, 7C or similar.

When I played a 354, I used an XT104N/C/C2 for most playing, though I had an A/A2 that I used for lead playing in some big bands.
