similar size to Laskey 90D

Post by bassboneman69 »

Looking for recommendations as to comparable size to Laskey 90D

I love my 90D and I have a Griego GP6L that I like too...

Is there a Greg Black that is similar to these but with perhaps a smaller throat?
I have had some of the larger GB's but the throat's were to big and I do not have the air capacity I once did.

Looking forward to reading your responses.

Maybe a JK (Klier) P02?

There‘s a decent choice of cup depths, from very deep to medium (at least as far as JK describe it) for the P0x range.

My LB series 114 rim with an L or M cup would be pretty close, with a smaller throat.

I always left that while the specs of the 90D are like a Schilke 60 sized piece it actually blew and felt more like a 1 1/8th size piece. That's just my experience though.

If you're looking for something like your GP6L you can't go wrong with an Elliott LB setup in the specs Doug gave above.

Or you could always try a GP7L. The GP7 is the same as a GP6 but has a slightly smaller true Schilke 60 sized rim.
