Peppy mouthpieces, one of the main techs at the original Bach factory, unless I'm mistaken.

John Pettinado AKA”Peppy” was a technician at Bach during the New York and Mount Vernon Days and then opened his own repair and custom mouthpiece shop in New York after Bach sold to Selmer and moved to Elkhart. He was the top tech in New York before Chuck McAlexander/Brasslab. Peppy died in the late ‘80’s.

I JUST had a conversation with my teacher about Peppy...

He worked at Bach and didn't move to Indiana. He opened a shop in some hole-in-the-wall, and was the go-to for custom mouthpiece work for years. Apparently he had a sign on the wall that said, "Hey Shmuck, Go Home and Practice."
