Bugle Horn in C

Post by davidicharp »

I am interested in buying a cheap bugle horn in C, but when I listened the sample it was almost a half step sharp. Is there an extension I can buy to lower the pitch by a half step. The specific horn is found here.

I would hesitate to consider that video to be a good representation of he instrument.

Given its price I wonder if it is equipped with a tuning slide, either.

I guess you could have someone make an extension to go between the mouthpiece and the instrument to extend it the right amount, but don't ask me how long that is. It will probably cost more than the bugle itself, though.

It's seems to be a toy, not a musical instrument. :idk:
But it is indeed cheap!

I play Taps for military funeral honors.
This is where I suggest you look for a REAL bugle that plays beautifully, while at an affordable price.
