Franken multi-bore F-att Getzen + + +

Just completed a long running project.
I had picked up a Getzen Eterna II F-attachment tenor (model 747) 0.574" bore bell section only.
Searched high and low for an appropriate slide at a decent price.

As that was unsuccessful, I decided (based on opinions about using dual bore slides and 0.525 slides on Conn 88's) to make a triple bore Frankenhorn instrument.

Starting at the top: cork barrel, mouthpipe, and upper slide: King 606 (Goodwill, ratty). I had hoped to salvage the crook (picture showed bad water key), but the crook was substantially dented on the side away from the photo. Getting the failing finish off the King parts was time consuming.

Then to a Jupiter 532 (0.525" bore) crook, and lower slide.

Then connected to a Conn SL2525 lower cork barrel... because I mistakenly thought the threads would match the Getzen 747. Used a thread die to reduce the thread from around 20.5 x 1.0 mm to 20.0 x 1.0 mm.

The blue brace is a snap on 3D printed part to help hold the horn like a normal tenor is held. Works for my small hands.

Conn 3 MP that I had laying around --- seems to work pretty well. I have a bit of difficulty in the bottom register, but I haven't played those notes in decades... might be the nut behind the MP
