Bach PM50MP

Post by Ediespagetti1000 »

I´m looking for a new leadpipe for my Bach 50 slide because mine is a bit worn-out (the mouthpiece goes in way to far and has a bit of an angle). I was looking at Hickeys webside and found the set of three leadpipes (S,XO,XX). Does anyone have experience with this style of removable leadpipes?

Thanks alot

As with ANY leadpipe, you really need to play several, in actual playing situations to figure out which one works the best for you!!

There are SO MANY good quality pipes out there that might work better than the Bach pipes.
Brad Close makes nice ones, MK Drawing, Shires, Edwards, etc....

The BrassArk (Brad Close) MV50 pipe is great - a copy of the pipe from a Mount Vernon Bach 50. MK Drawing does one like it; in my Shires slides I prefer the BrassArk version. http://brassark.com/leadpipes.html

There's lots of aftermarket stuff, but the best leadpipe I own is a new stock Bach 50 leadpipe that my tech added a collar to.
