Getzen 725 Eterna II Slide Compatibility

Post by unvar »

I currently own a Getzen 725 Eterna II (dual bore .525/.547) and I'm looking into replacing the slide with a .547. I have heard that a Getzen 547 slide would work, I was wondering if there are any other slides out there that may work, or where I should start looking to buy one?

When I had a 725 I was able to swap slides with my Getzen 3047 Custom, no problem.

A standard Conn 88H/8H slide is compatible too. Just be aware that the Conn slide has a slightly narrower width (tube spacing) than a large bore Getzen.

The nice aspect about the 3047 and 88H slides is that both have removeable leadpipes in case you want to further zero in on the sound you're looking for.

The Blessing B88/B8 large bore slides will also fit your 725. Fixed leadpipe.

Just to clarify, not all 88 slides have removable pipes (it’s the default, actually). But you definitely can find them with removable pipes.

Incidentally, if an 88 slide fits, several large bore Yamaha slides will too
