Edwards B2 Sterling Silver and B502

Post by fwbassbone »

I have been using an Edwards B502AR as my main ax for a few months. This is my second 502 the first one had Rotax valves. I used a SS pipe in that first one so I had to try one in the new AR. As it did with my original B502 this pipe really brings the horn to life. The B2 SS plays tighter than the brass B2 but not as tight as a B1. The magic is the sound which is focused but big. The SS is easier to play and provides the color I need. Most of my playing is brass band and big band. If you have a 502 I urge you to try a Sterling leadpipe.

Word on the street is that Markey plays it with a B3L pipe, FWIW!
