Hello,
I spotted a DY brand tenor trombone in second hand, I did not find any information about this brand, the serial number does not start with Y. It may be a "Douglas Yeo" Yamaha signature trombone but it is not a bass trombone.
It has large bore and there is no brand on the box either.
Can you give me some information about it ?
Thank you
Régards.

A picture or two would help us. I know it's not yours, but maybe you can take one or post a picture from an on-line ad.

I can guarantee it's not a Doug Yeo model trombone, since they are made (and marked) by Yamaha.
The engraving is relatively modern. It also says "Designed in USA".
Hope somebody else can give some information.

Don't do it.
It's not even cheap for what it is.
A used student horn of almost any age from a known manufacturer would be a better choice. (Or, as you're in Europe, Thomann's own branded instruments start around this price, and they have a return policy.)

Usually "designed in USA" is not a good sign. Probably some old chinese stencil. From what Iv'e heard, they usually are not worth it.

The design looks like an old Blessing student model, due to the counterweight. And this may just be a copy of that. If it's a blessing, it might be worth what they are asking, if it;s a copy, you'll never know until you try it.

Hello all,
Finally, I bought the trombone for 120€.
Yes, I'm sure that it's a chinese copy but with its large bore the sound is good.
I cleaned it and it's like almost new, finally I'm happy, I didn't wanted buy an expensive instrument because my first instrument it's the trumpet so it's just for fun
Thank you all.Bye
Best regards
