Approach To Playing Flugabone

Hi :hi:
I am happy with my progress on trombone and my sound but this doesn't carry over to the Flugabone.
I would be interested to know how others approach this regarding mouthpiece and air or anything else you would like to share. Thanks.

Even if it is the same bore, the Flugabone has many more curves and bows before the sound gets out the bell. I play on a similar horn and it is just tighter/stuffier/more resistance, so play on a slightly smaller mouthpiece with a smaller throat, more focused air, and that helps. It is less open, which messes with my high range, and the 2nd partial is not very clear. It helped me to work out on mid-range ballads and expand out from their when I had more control over my note. Your mileage may vary, but Fluga is a different animal, perhaps brighter than a marching baritone, but I would not expect to match the trombone sound.
